"Well, I applaud you for the restraint to not smack Jeff just because. Take it as an opportunity to educate, not ridicule - if you judge people negatively because they don't recycle you are possibly setting them up to have a negative view of recycling. Negative reaction isn't going to inspire them to recycle - right? So, find a way to positively teach them about it -- "Ya know, I started recycling awhile back and I've found it's really addictive - have you ever thought about getting into it? This is a perfect recycle item." over "Hey dumb ass - see this recycle bin over here?!?!""
